Monaco Trade Unions Call for Mass Workplace Strike This Friday

Workers across the Principality are urged to join demonstrations at midday to protect pension rights and employment conditions.

Trade unions across Monaco have issued a rallying cry for employees throughout the Principality to down tools this Friday in a coordinated strike action. The Union of Monaco Trade Unions has organised the industrial action to safeguard workers' pension entitlements and broader employment protections.

Two demonstration points have been established for the midday protest on 10th April. Workers are encouraged to gather at Saint-Charles Church at 12:15 PM, with a second assembly point positioned outside the Louis-II Stadium.

The strike represents a significant show of solidarity amongst Monaco's workforce, highlighting growing concerns over potential changes to retirement benefits and working conditions. The coordinated timing suggests unions are seeking maximum impact during the lunch period when many businesses typically operate with reduced staffing.
