AS Monaco will not activate the purchase options on Simon Adingra and Wout Faes, ending both players' time at the club.
AS Monaco has decided against making Simon Adingra and Wout Faes permanent signings, confirming that neither player's purchase option will be triggered at the end of their respective loan arrangements. The decision, reached after several weeks of deliberation by the club's sporting directorate, brings both spells to a close ahead of the summer transfer window.
Adingra, the Ivory Coast winger who joined on loan from Brighton, and Belgian centre-back Wout Faes, on loan from Leicester City, had both featured for Adi Hütter's side during the 2025-26 season. Their departures will now shape Monaco's recruitment priorities as the club looks to reinforce its squad for next season's campaign.
