The Minister of State addressed the Parliamentary Assembly on 22 June, outlining Monaco's priorities at the helm of the Council of Europe.
On 22 June, the Minister of State appeared before the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe in Strasbourg to speak in a national capacity, fielding questions from members on Monaco's role and ambitions during its current presidency. He underlined the Principality's commitment to the Council's founding values and drew attention to what distinguishes the Monegasque model: proximity between government and citizen, a culture of solidarity, and a practical, outcome-driven approach to public policy.
The following day, Isabelle Berro-Amadeï addressed the Assembly in her own capacity, carrying forward Monaco's presidency agenda before the parliamentary body. The back-to-back appearances reflect the Principality's active engagement with the Council at a moment when it holds the rotating chair, giving Monaco an unusually direct platform to shape the organisation's near-term direction.
For Monaco residents and stakeholders, the presidency represents a period in which the Principality punches well above its size on the European diplomatic stage, with concrete policy priorities - spanning human rights, rule of law and social cohesion - likely to carry practical implications for legislation and international cooperation in the months ahead.
