Lycées Albert Ier and François d'Assise , Nicolas Barré both achieved 100% passes in general and technology streams this summer.
Both of Monaco's main lycées turned in a near-perfect performance in the 2026 baccalauréat session, with Lycée Albert Ier and Lycée François d'Assise – Nicolas Barré recording 100% pass rates across general and technology streams. The overall pass rate for the Principality came in at 99.5%, placing this session among the strongest on record.
The results carry practical weight for families and employers in the Principality. A high proportion of candidates also earned distinctions, with 324 mentions awarded across the cohort, reflecting not just passes but genuinely strong academic performances. The figures reinforce Monaco's long-standing investment in its state school system, which educates the majority of resident children from primary through to the final year of secondary schooling.
The baccalauréat remains the principal university entrance qualification for students continuing their studies in France and across the francophone world, and strong results here typically translate into competitive university placements for Monaco's school leavers.
