Monaco relaunches school device reuse scheme with 650 units

The Princely Government has signed a formal agreement to refurbish and redistribute over 650 computers and tablets from Monaco's schools through adapted enterprise EVA and the CROS sports committee.
A second phase of Monaco's school equipment reuse programme has been formalised, with the Minister of State signing a joint commitment alongside EVA, a specialist in sustainable IT refurbishment, and the Comité Régional Olympique et Sportif (CROS) Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur. The agreement covers more than 650 devices, including computers and tablets, retired from the Principality's school network.
A portion of the refurbished hardware will be redistributed under a framework designed to combine digital transition with social inclusion and responsible reuse. The involvement of CROS points to some of the devices being directed towards sports associations and community organisations in the wider region, though the full distribution breakdown was not disclosed at the time of signing.
The initiative builds on an earlier phase of the programme, positioning Monaco as an active participant in circular economy principles at the institutional level. For a small state that generates significant volumes of technology turnover across its public sector, structured reuse schemes of this kind carry practical as well as reputational weight.
