Official tourism figures for 2025 show Monaco drew 6.7 million visits, generating close to €1.4 billion in direct expenditure across the Principality.
The Monaco Government's 2025 tourism survey confirms the Principality crossed a significant threshold last year, recording nearly 6.7 million visits and close to €1.4 billion in direct visitor spending. The figures underline the enduring pull of a destination that attracts both regional day-trippers and long-haul international travellers.
The breakdown reveals a familiar pattern: excursionists, those visiting without an overnight stay, accounted for 92.5 per cent of all visits, while overnight tourists made up the remaining 7.5 per cent. Though overnight visitors are far fewer in number, their economic contribution is disproportionately large, given the concentration of luxury hotels, high-end restaurants and premium retail along the Principality's compact coastline.
For residents and property owners, the data reinforces Monaco's position as one of Europe's most commercially resilient micro-states. Sustained visitor demand supports the service businesses, hospitality operators and retail premises that form a substantial part of the local economy, and the figures are likely to inform future infrastructure and capacity planning by the government.
