Monaco reaffirms HIV/AIDS commitment at UN

The Principality has backed UNAIDS for nearly two decades and has recently increased its voluntary contribution to the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.
At the United Nations, Monaco has restated its long-standing commitment to the global fight against HIV/AIDS, with a representative of the Principality addressing member states and underlining the depth of Monaco's engagement with international health bodies.
Monaco has supported UNAIDS for close to twenty years and has recently strengthened its voluntary contribution to the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. The intervention also highlighted the critical role of community-based organisations, whose proximity to affected populations and on-the-ground expertise are considered indispensable to developing responses that meet people where they are.
For a Principality of Monaco's size, sustained financial and diplomatic commitment to multilateral health initiatives carries considerable symbolic weight.
