Two Year 9 classes at the Institution François d'Assise-Nicolas Barré (FANB) spent a day immersed in the realities facing refugees worldwide, as part of the Inter'Act programme timed to coincide with World Refugee Day on 20 June. The session brought together testimonies from people with direct experience of displacement, a dedicated exhibition, and sports workshops designed to encourage dialogue between pupils.
The day also included a meal featuring dishes from Central Africa, giving students a cultural dimension to complement the more formal elements of the programme. The Inter'Act initiative aims to shift how young people in Monaco perceive and understand refugee status, building awareness at secondary school level before students move into the senior years of their education.
