The Archives nationales de Monaco has recorded more than 15,000 visits and nearly 60,000 page views in its first year online.
Launched a year ago, the Archives nationales de Monaco website has crossed the 15,000-visit mark, with close to 60,000 individual pages consulted across the period. The figures point to genuine public appetite for the Principality's historical records, well beyond a niche academic audience.
Among the most-used features are the archive fund search tools, passport application records for Monégasque nationals covering 1917 to 1931, and a collection of urban planning photographs tracing Monaco's physical transformation over the decades. The passport notices have proved particularly useful for genealogical research, complementing the municipal civil registry. To date, 94 inventories have been made available through the platform.
