The Principality's health authorities have activated continuous monitoring following the identification of a hantavirus outbreak aboard the MV Hondius, a cruise vessel. No contact cases among Monaco residents have so far been detected, though officials stress that surveillance remains active and is being conducted in line with international health recommendations.
Local and regional health professionals are working in coordination with the government's sanitary services. The Principality holds strategic reserves of both surgical masks and FFP2 respirators, which can be deployed should the situation require protective measures for the population.
Residents and visitors with concerns are advised to follow updates from the Direction de l'Action Sanitaire et Sociale, which is monitoring the evolution of the situation closely.
