Monaco hosts global military sport assembly with 79 nations

The Principality welcomes the 81st International Military Sports Council assembly from 3-9 May 2026.
The Principality will welcome representatives from 79 nations for a week-long gathering focused on military sport and international cooperation. From 3 to 9 May 2026, the Fairmont Monte Carlo will serve as headquarters for the 81st General Assembly of the International Military Sports Council.
Delegates will engage in discussions centred on promoting peace through sport, a core principle of the military sports movement. The assembly will also see the renewal of governing bodies and leadership positions within the organisation.
A key focus of the gathering will be preparation for the 2027 World Military Games, with participating nations coordinating their involvement in this major international sporting event. The week-long assembly reinforces Monaco's position as a premier destination for high-level international sporting conferences and diplomatic gatherings.
