Monaco hosts first Cercles de l'AGEFI finance forum

By Zak Jackson, MonacoViews Editorial

Around 100 banking, wealth management and financial services professionals gathered in Monaco this week for the Principality's inaugural Cercles de l'AGEFI conference.

The first Monaco edition of the Cercles de l'AGEFI brought together roughly 100 finance sector professionals on Wednesday, marking the Principality's debut on the calendar of the long-running French financial media group's flagship forum series. Attendees came from across Monaco's banking, wealth management, real estate finance and financial services community.

The conference centred on major economic and regulatory questions currently shaping the sector, though the specific agenda items were not disclosed ahead of publication. For Monaco's financial community, the event signals growing interest from leading European finance media in the Principality as a serious venue for high-level industry dialogue, rather than simply a residence of choice for its practitioners.

AGEFI, a Paris-based financial daily with decades of influence across French-speaking markets, runs its Cercles forums in key financial centres. Monaco joining that circuit, even at a first edition, reflects the Principality's continued positioning as a substantive private banking and wealth management hub rather than a peripheral one.
