Monaco holds forum on women in political life

A government-organised morning event brought together senior figures to discuss the role of women in Monaco's political and institutional landscape.
On Monday 22 June, the Principality's Committee for the Promotion and Protection of Women's Rights convened a public forum focused on gender equality in political and institutional life. The session was opened by Isabelle Berro-Amadeï, Minister of External Relations and Cooperation and president of the committee, who reaffirmed her commitment to defending women's rights and tackling all forms of violence against them.
The centrepiece of the morning was a round-table discussion titled 'La place des femmes dans la vie politique et institutionnelle monégasque', which gave a platform to a range of voices on how women participate in, and are represented within, Monaco's governing structures. The event reflects a broader push by the government to bring these questions into public debate rather than confine them to internal policy work.
For residents and those following Monegasque civic affairs, the forum signals that gender parity in public life is now an active item on the government's agenda, with the committee taking a more visible role in driving that conversation forward.
