The 2027 Formula 1 calendar confirms a Monaco Sprint weekend on 4-6 June, making it one of ten grands prix to adopt the Saturday format next season.
The 2027 Formula 1 world championship calendar, revealed on Wednesday, confirms that the Monaco Grand Prix will host a Sprint race for the first time, with the Principality's round scheduled for 4 to 6 June. Monaco joins nine other rounds in a significantly expanded Sprint programme for the coming season.
The change means the familiar Thursday-to-Sunday rhythm of the Monaco weekend will be reshaped, with a Sprint qualifying session and a short-format race added to the Saturday programme alongside the traditional grand prix on Sunday. For residents living along the circuit route and for hospitality operators around the Port Hercule paddock, the revised format will affect access schedules and the overall footprint of race week.
The 24-race calendar also marks the return of the Portuguese Grand Prix at Portimao on 18 to 20 June and the Turkish Grand Prix at Istanbul on 1 to 3 October, both absent from the schedule for several years. Monaco retains its position as the first European round of the championship, a status the Principality has held for most of the modern era.
