Jean-Louis Bollaro's 3D Factory, founded in Monaco in 2014, has designed and produced the redesigned Golden Nymph trophies for the Monte-Carlo Television Festival.
The Golden Nymph, the signature award of the Monte-Carlo Television Festival, has been given a new form, and the company behind it is based in the Principality. 3D Factory, founded by Jean-Louis Bollaro in Monaco in 2014, was commissioned to conceive and produce the redesigned trophies that will be handed to this year's laureates.
Bollaro has spoken publicly about the process, which moved from initial digital modelling through to the finished physical object. The work involves translating a sculptural concept into precise three-dimensional data before manufacturing begins, a process that demands close attention to proportion and surface finish at each stage.
For a small Monegasque firm, the commission carries real weight. The Golden Nymph is one of the most recognisable awards in international television, and the trophies will be seen by an audience well beyond the Principality when the Festival takes place at the Grimaldi Forum.
