Monaco extradites nine fugitives in 12 months via Interpol network

Between 2025 and 2026, nine individuals subject to red notices were extradited to Monaco with the cooperation of seven countries across Europe and beyond.
On International Police Cooperation Day, the Monaco government has confirmed that nine people sought by the Principality's authorities were extradited over the past year, following coordination with France, Italy, Spain, Germany, the United Kingdom, Serbia and Azerbaijan.
The cases arose from investigations into offences against property and persons, as well as other serious criminal matters. The extraditions were made possible through red notice procedures administered via Interpol, the global mechanism that allows member countries to flag wanted individuals and request their detention pending transfer.
For a jurisdiction of Monaco's size, the ability to pursue suspects across multiple continents reflects how seriously the Direction de la Sûreté Publique treats cross-border enforcement. The result also underlines that residence in the Principality offers no insulation from investigation, and that criminal matters pursued here carry real consequences regardless of where a suspect attempts to relocate.
