The Yacht Club de Monaco has unveiled the Energy Boat Challenge World Series, a new international circuit of continental qualifications launching in 2027, with the final remaining in the principality.
The Yacht Club de Monaco has announced an exciting expansion of its flagship event, unveiling the Monaco Energy Boat Challenge World Series. This new international circuit will feature continental qualification rounds, establishing a global pathway for university teams, naval engineers and researchers competing in zero-emission and alternative-fuel boat designs.
The inaugural World Series launches in 2027, significantly raising the profile of the competition beyond its established Monaco base. Whilst qualifying events will take place across multiple continents, the final will continue to be hosted at Port Hercule, reinforcing Monaco's position as the centre of marine technology innovation and sustainable boating development.
The four-day finale will maintain its reputation for pushing hydrogen, solar and electric propulsion systems to their limits through rigorous competitive trials.
