Monaco extends commitment to global food security through renewed UN partnership

The Principality has signed a fresh multi-year agreement with the World Food Programme, focusing on gender equality and inclusion in food security initiatives.

The Principality has strengthened its dedication to combating world hunger by entering into a fresh partnership agreement with the World Food Programme, spanning 2026 to 2027.

This renewed collaboration places particular emphasis on promoting equality and inclusion within global food security efforts. Monaco's support will continue to fund a specialised financial framework that works to embed gender equality principles throughout WFP operations worldwide.

The partnership represents Monaco's ongoing commitment to addressing humanitarian challenges beyond its borders, leveraging its resources to support vulnerable populations facing food insecurity. The gender-focused approach reflects modern understanding that effective food security programmes must consider the different impacts on men and women in affected communities.

This multi-year commitment provides the WFP with predictable funding streams, enabling more strategic planning and implementation of programmes designed to reach those most in need whilst promoting inclusive development practices.
