Monaco cracks down on rogue supercar gatherings

The Princely Government is stepping up enforcement against unplanned supercar meetups that have been generating dangerous driving and public disturbances on Monaco's streets.
Unplanned gatherings of high-powered vehicles have become a recurring problem on Monaco's public roads, with some drivers using the Principality's streets to show off in ways that endanger other road users and disturb residents. The Princely Government has made clear it intends to bring these incidents under control.
The new measures target both the dangerous driving behaviour itself and the broader nuisance these gatherings create for people living nearby. Authorities are not waiting for scheduled events to act — the focus is specifically on spontaneous meetups that have, until now, been harder to police effectively.
For residents in areas popular with car enthusiasts, particularly along the seafront and in the lower Condamine, this signals a more proactive stance from the authorities. The goal, as stated by the Government, is to protect the safety and peace of those who live in the Principality.
