Monaco Boost and MonacoTech Report Strong Start-up Numbers

By Zak Jackson, MonacoViews Editorial

The Minister of State has visited Monaco's two principal business incubators, which together have supported 167 companies since their respective launches.

Monaco Boost and MonacoTech received a formal visit from the Minister of State on 1 June, marking a government review of the Principality's two flagship entrepreneurship programmes. The visit offered a concrete measure of progress: Monaco Boost, which opened in 2021 under the direction of Julien Dejanovic, has accompanied 95 companies to date, the majority founded by Monégasques or their spouses. MonacoTech, led by Chloé Boscagli and running since 2017, has supported 72 entrepreneurs over the same period.

For residents and property owners watching Monaco's economic base evolve, the figures matter. Both structures were designed to reduce the Principality's reliance on established financial and luxury sectors by nurturing home-grown ventures, and the combined tally of 167 supported businesses suggests the model is gaining real traction. The government visit signals that these programmes remain a live policy priority rather than a passive infrastructure investment.
