An explosion on Monday evening has left three people injured in what Minister of State Christophe Mirmand has described as, in all likelihood, a deliberate attack - the first of its kind in the Principality's recorded history. CCTV footage has identified a suspect planting a backpack at the scene before fleeing.

Among the victims are a couple aged between 50 and 60, both reported to be in a critical condition, along with a 13-year-old child believed to have a connection to the pair. The exact location and the full circumstances surrounding the incident remain under active investigation.

Residents and visitors in Monaco are advised to remain vigilant and to report any suspicious activity to the authorities immediately. Further updates are expected from the government as the investigation develops.
