AS Monaco defeated FC Nordsjælland 2-0 at the Stade Louis-II to maintain a perfect start to their Conference League campaign.
AS Monaco kept their unbeaten European run intact on Thursday evening with a 2-0 win over Danish side FC Nordsjælland at the Stade Louis-II, their third straight victory in this season's UEFA Conference League group phase.
Mathys Detourbet broke the deadlock in a tight first half, giving the home crowd something to cheer after a cagey opening against a well-organised Nordsjælland side. The visitors pushed for an equaliser as the match wore on, but Monaco held firm and sealed the points when Matthis Abline struck deep into stoppage time.
The result keeps Monaco at the top of their group with a maximum nine points from three games, a strong return for a squad balancing continental ambitions with their Ligue 1 schedule. For supporters who have packed the Stade Louis-II for these midweek fixtures, the run has added a fresh competitive edge to the club's European outings this autumn.
