A Monaco government minister addressed the 79th World Health Assembly in Geneva, calling for a more agile and accountable World Health Organisation.
Minister Robino represented Monaco at the 79th World Health Assembly in Geneva on 28 May 2026, speaking during a general debate held under the theme "Redefining Global Health: A Shared Responsibility". His address came against a backdrop of an unprecedented number of active conflicts, which he described as placing severe strain on the foundations of the international order.
Robino used the platform to press the case for ambitious reform of the World Health Organisation, arguing the body must become more transparent, more agile and more effective in meeting the health needs of all populations. The position aligns with Monaco's longstanding engagement in multilateral health diplomacy, where the Principality punches well above its size in international forums.
