Monaco artists to exhibit in Madrid for 2026 forum

The 8th Forum des Artistes de Monaco will take on an international dimension in 2026, with an exhibition in Madrid marking 150 years of Monegasque diplomatic ties with Spain.
The Direction des Affaires Culturelles is expanding the scope of its biennial artists' forum for 2026, bringing work by Principality-based artists to Madrid in what marks a significant step beyond Monaco's borders. The exhibition is being co-organised with the Monegasque Embassy in Spain, and ties directly to the 150th anniversary of formal diplomatic relations between the Principality and Spain.
The Forum des Artistes has, since its inception, served as a government-backed platform giving local artists public exhibition space, supported by the Prince's Government. Reaching its eighth edition, the forum has clearly matured into a vehicle for cultural diplomacy as much as local artistic support.
For Monaco residents who follow the local arts scene, this edition represents a rare chance to see Principality artists given a genuinely international stage. Details on participating artists and the Madrid venue are expected to be announced closer to the 2026 dates.
