A Monégasque man faces a four-day criminal trial starting 19 May 2026, accused of attempting to murder his partner in their Monaco home in April 2022.
Jean-Charles Mulini appeared before Monaco's tribunal criminel on Tuesday 19 May, charged with attempted murder following a knife attack that left his then-23-year-old partner with 34 stab wounds. The trial, which runs until Friday 22 May 2026, concerns an assault carried out in April 2022 at the couple's shared residence in the Principality. The victim, a Monégasque national, survived the attack.
Mulini is ten years older than the woman he is accused of attacking. The case is being heard by the criminal court, which handles the most serious offences under Monégasque law. A verdict is expected by the end of the week.
