Wurtemberg Bridge Walkway Extension Enhances Fontvieille Connections

A new pedestrian extension links Salines Gallery to upgraded lifts and stairs, with complete Avenue de Fontvieille access due by May 2026.

The Principality has unveiled a significant improvement to pedestrian infrastructure with the completion of a walkway extension at Wurtemberg Bridge. The new structure creates a direct connection between Salines Gallery and recently installed lifts and stairways.

This development represents part of a broader accessibility enhancement project designed to improve movement between different levels of the district. The extension addresses a key connectivity gap that has long affected pedestrian flow in this busy area.

The project timeline extends through to May 2026, when authorities expect to deliver comprehensive pedestrian access to Avenue de Fontvieille. This phased approach allows for careful integration of the new infrastructure whilst minimising disruption to daily operations in the surrounding commercial and residential areas.
