New Wurtemberg Bridge Extension Opens to Improve Pedestrian Access

A newly constructed walkway from Salines gallery now connects directly to lifts and stairs serving Place Wurtemberg, with further connections planned by May 2026.

Pedestrians can now use a freshly completed bridge extension that links directly from the Salines gallery exit to newly built vertical transport systems. The infrastructure includes two lifts and a staircase that currently provide access to Place Wurtemberg at the PW level.

The development forms part of a broader connectivity project set for completion by the end of May 2026. Once finished, the transport links will offer direct access to Avenue de Fontvieille at the AF level, significantly improving pedestrian circulation in this area.

The new walkway operates at the PS level and represents a substantial upgrade to the district's pedestrian infrastructure. Previously, foot traffic in this sector relied on more limited access routes, making this extension a welcome enhancement for residents and visitors navigating between these key Monaco locations.
