Around twenty Monegasque families welcomed their first child in the past year were received at the Mairie by Mayor Georges Marsan on Monday evening.

The Mairie de Monaco hosted its annual Fête des Mères et des Pères on the evening of Monday 1st June, bringing together around twenty Monegasque families who welcomed their first child between 1st May 2025 and 30th April 2026.

Mayor Georges Marsan received the families alongside Deputy Mayors Marjorie Crovetto, Jacques Pastor and Karyn Ardisson Salopek. The ceremony is a long-standing municipal tradition marking a milestone that carries particular weight in a Principality where Monegasque citizenship passes through bloodline and where each new generation of nationals is a matter of civic significance.

For residents, the event is a reminder of how closely the Mairie engages with the Monegasque community at a personal level - a formality that feels, by design, anything but formal.
