Lycée Rainier III renews Mauritius hotel school pact

By Laurent Duval, MonacoViews Editorial

A long-running exchange programme between Monaco's Lycée Rainier III and the Sir Gaëtan Duval hotel school in Mauritius has been formally renewed, continuing two decades of vocational collaboration.

A bilateral agreement first signed in 2005 between Lycée Rainier III and the Mauritius Institute of Training and Development's Sir Gaëtan Duval Hotel School has been renewed, extending a partnership that has shaped hospitality careers on both sides for twenty years.

The programme sends students and teaching staff between the two institutions for structured training stays that combine classroom learning with hands-on practical experience. For Monégasque students studying hôtellerie and restauration, it represents one of the few formal routes to an international placement built directly into their curriculum.

The renewal signals a continued commitment from both institutions to cross-cultural professional development at a time when the hospitality sector, central to Monaco's economy, places considerable value on internationally experienced graduates.
