Legionella traces found at Collège Charles III now resolved

The Prince's Government has confirmed that corrective measures are complete after Legionella bacteria was detected at Collège Charles III during routine summer testing.
Interior Minister Lionel Beffre addressed parents directly at a press conference held at Collège Charles III, confirming that traces of Legionella bacteria had been identified during routine testing carried out over the summer break. The Government moved quickly to reassure families that the issue was contained and that remediation work had been completed before the start of the new school year.
Legionella bacteria, which can cause serious respiratory illness if inhaled through contaminated water vapour, is typically detected through mandatory testing of water systems in public buildings. Its presence at trace levels during a period when the school was unoccupied is not uncommon, and authorities stressed that no pupils or staff had been exposed.
With corrective measures now signed off and the school open as normal, the Government considers the matter closed. Parents with further concerns were directed to contact the school administration directly.
