Monaco Launches Digital Platform for Mutual Employment Contract Termination
A new online service allows employers and workers to process mutual contract terminations digitally through Monaco's government portals.
The Principality has introduced a digital platform enabling mutual employment contract termination, marking a significant shift in local labour practices. The service went live on 23rd March 2026 through the Monguichet.mc portals, serving both individuals and businesses.
This development follows the introduction of mutual termination agreements on 12th March 2026, expanding Monaco's employment law beyond the traditional options of resignation or dismissal. The new framework provides a collaborative approach where employers and employees can agree to end contracts by mutual consent.
The platform represents a joint effort between Monaco's Digital Services Department and the Labour Department, streamlining what was previously a more complex administrative process. By digitising these procedures, the government aims to make employment transitions more efficient for all parties involved.
