La Condamine Market Hall rebuild on track at six months

By Zak Jackson, MonacoViews Editorial

Work to modernise the Halle du Marché de la Condamine is progressing on schedule, six months after the major restructuring project broke ground.

Six months into one of the Principality's most significant municipal construction projects, the restructuring of the Halle du Marché de la Condamine is proceeding on schedule. The Mairie de Monaco confirmed this week that the first phase of works has been completed without delays, a notable milestone for a project of this scale in such a densely built district.

The scheme aims to modernise the covered market hall while preserving its architectural character, a balance that has shaped the project's design from the outset. The Condamine market is central to daily life in that quartier, drawing residents from across the western side of the Principality as well as from neighbouring Beausoleil.

The Mairie indicated that continuity of activity at the site has been a priority throughout the opening phase, with arrangements made to keep disruption to traders and local residents to a minimum. Further updates on the timeline and scope of remaining works are expected as the project moves into its next stage.
