L2 bus service boosted on summer weekends

Extra capacity on the L2 line aims to ease congestion between the Salines car park and Monaco-Ville during busy summer weekends.
From this summer, the L2 bus line will run with reinforced frequency on weekends to cope with the sharp rise in passenger numbers seen on the route during the warmer months. The service connects the Salines car park, one of the principal gateway parking facilities at the edge of the Principality, directly to Monaco-Ville, and demand at peak times has outpaced existing capacity.
The measure is part of a broader push to steer visitors arriving by car towards out-of-centre parking rather than driving into the heart of Monaco. Those leaving their vehicle at Salines benefit from a direct onward connection, and the increased frequency is intended to make that option genuinely competitive with driving all the way in. Residents and regular visitors familiar with weekend traffic on the Rock will recognise the practical difference a shorter wait at the bus stop can make.
