Housing takes 15% of 2027 budget as Mirmand sets agenda

Christophe Mirmand set out the government's priorities for the year ahead at a press briefing this week, with housing for Monegasques confirmed as the central commitment. Fifteen per cent of the 2027 State budget will be allocated to housing - a significant share that signals how seriously the Principality is treating the long-standing pressure on residential supply for its national community.
Security and Monaco's international attractiveness were also named as priorities, though the government is expected to release fuller details of those programmes in the coming weeks. The housing allocation figure is the sharpest number to emerge from the briefing and will be closely watched by Monegasques on the waiting lists for state-assisted accommodation, as well as by property professionals monitoring public investment across the Principality.
