Hollywood filming returns to Monte-Carlo for Ocean's Eleven prequel

By Zak Jackson, MonacoViews Editorial

Bradley Cooper and Margot Robbie were filmed in Casino Square on Tuesday as production continues in Monaco-Ville later this month.

Casino Square turned into a working film set on Tuesday as Bradley Cooper and Margot Robbie shot scenes for the Ocean's Eleven prequel, with camera rigs and crew trucks positioned near the steps of the Place du Casino. Onlookers gathered along the terraces overlooking the square, a reminder of how often Monte-Carlo's architecture doubles for cinema's version of glamour.

The production is due to move to Monaco-Ville later this month, and residents of the old town should expect some disruption as crews set up for further scenes. Road closures and restricted access around the Rocher are likely during filming days, though exact dates have not yet been confirmed by the production company.

For property owners and residents in the area, the filming schedule means short-term inconvenience but also a reminder of Monaco's enduring appeal as a backdrop for major international productions, something that continues to feed the Principality's profile well beyond the Grand Prix season.
