Hôtel de Paris wine cellars win Wine Spectator 2026 honour

By Zak Jackson, MonacoViews Editorial

The Caves de l'Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo have received the Best of Award of Excellence in Wine Spectator's 2026 awards, recognising the depth and quality of the cellar's collection.

The Caves de l'Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo have been awarded the Best of Award of Excellence by Wine Spectator for 2026, one of the publication's highest annual distinctions for restaurant wine programmes worldwide.

The cellars beneath the Place du Casino property are among the most celebrated in Europe, housing a collection that spans centuries of vintages. The Best of Award of Excellence sits above the standard Award of Excellence and recognises lists that go significantly beyond a core selection, offering both breadth across regions and depth in key appellations.

Wine Spectator, which has published its annual restaurant awards since 1981, assesses programmes on the quality and range of the list, staff training, and the overall wine experience offered to guests. For residents and visitors dining at the Hôtel de Paris, the recognition adds formal weight to what many already consider one of the finest wine experiences available in Monaco.
