Historic Grand Prix weekend brings major traffic restrictions and parking changes
Key Monaco roads will close for three days during the Historic Grand Prix, with alternative parking arrangements in place for residents and visitors.
The Historic Grand Prix will transform Monaco's street layout from 24-26 April, with extensive road closures affecting both vehicle and pedestrian access across the principality's key routes.
Ministerial orders will prohibit all parking and traffic along Quai des États-Unis, Route de la Piscine, Jules Soccal wharf, and the Darse Sud marina area. These restrictions begin Friday 24 April at 9:30am, extending through Saturday from 6:15am and Sunday from 6:00am, continuing until racing concludes each day.
Additional municipal restrictions will prevent car and motorcycle circulation throughout the circuit area during the same period. The measures ensure safety during practice sessions and races whilst maintaining the historic event's authentic street circuit atmosphere.
Residents and businesses should plan alternative routes well in advance, as the closures will significantly impact normal traffic flow across Monaco's compact road network.
