German business delegates meet Monaco counterparts at forum

A one-day economic forum at the Novotel Monte-Carlo on Friday will bring German and Monegasque business owners together to mark 75 years of diplomatic relations.
German business owners arrive in Monte-Carlo on Friday for a one-day economic forum bringing together companies from across Germany and their Monegasque counterparts, part of events marking 75 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries. The forum takes place at the Novotel Monte-Carlo, a venue regularly used for business gatherings given its proximity to the Grimaldi Forum and the port.
The event is organised by what was, until this week, known as the Monaco Economic Board. The organisation has just completed its transition to become the Chamber of Commerce of Monaco, a rebrand that brings the Principality's business representation in line with the naming conventions used by chambers of commerce elsewhere in Europe, including Germany.
For Monaco-based firms with German clients, suppliers or investors, the forum offers a rare concentrated opportunity to meet potential partners in one room rather than through intermediaries. The timing, coinciding with the 75th anniversary of bilateral ties, also signals continued interest from German capital in Monaco's business environment at a point when the Principality is seeking to diversify its economy beyond finance, property and tourism.
