Garden Club unveils floral theme for National Day Mass

The Garden Club of Monaco will decorate the Cathedral of Monaco under the theme 'Like a Garden' for this year's National Day Thanksgiving Mass.
Behind the solemn ceremony that marks Monaco's National Day on 19 November, a team of volunteer florists from the Garden Club of Monaco is already at work. The club has once again taken responsibility for the floral decorations inside the Cathedral of Monaco, where the traditional Thanksgiving Mass forms the spiritual heart of the national celebrations.
This year's arrangements will follow the theme 'Like a Garden', a departure that the club's members are treating as a creative challenge rather than a routine task. The displays will frame the altar and nave for the Mass, which draws members of the Princely Family, government officials and residents to the Rocher each year.
For those who attend the ceremony, the flowers rarely draw attention away from the occasion itself, yet the planning behind them reflects the quieter civic traditions that sit alongside Monaco's official pageantry. The Garden Club's volunteers typically begin preparations well in advance, sourcing and arranging blooms to suit the cathedral's proportions and the gravity of the day.
