Free TV service undergoes major upgrade with 80 new channels

Monaco's television landscape transforms as traditional wall socket access ends, making way for expanded HD programming options.

Television viewers in the principality will experience a significant shift in their viewing options as the current system undergoes a comprehensive overhaul. The existing arrangement, which provides 19 TNT channels through direct wall socket connections, will cease operations at the end of October.

In its place, residents will gain access to a substantially expanded offering of more than 80 channels, featuring both French-language programming and international content. A notable enhancement comes through the inclusion of numerous high-definition broadcasts, promising improved picture quality for viewers.

This transition represents a modernisation of Monaco's television infrastructure, moving away from the traditional terrestrial system towards a more diverse and technically advanced platform. The change affects households that currently receive their television signal directly through wall-mounted connections, requiring them to adapt to the new service delivery method.
