A new photography exhibition exploring the behind-the-scenes world of Monaco's Prehistoric Anthropology Museum is open to the public free of charge, around the clock, until 28 June 2026.
The Galerie des Pêcheurs is currently hosting «Fouilles», a photographic exhibition that takes visitors behind the scenes of the Musée d'Anthropologie Préhistorique de Monaco, the institution founded by Prince Albert I. Photographer Stéphane Gamelin's images offer an intimate look at the museum's research and archaeological work, presented in one of the Principality's most accessible public gallery spaces.
The exhibition runs without entry charge, 24 hours a day, until 28 June 2026. It was introduced to the Monaco press by Elena Rossoni-Notter, Director of the museum and a doctor in prehistory, alongside her team and Gamelin himself, at a morning gathering held at the gallery.
For residents passing through the port area or visitors staying nearby, the around-the-clock format means the works can be viewed at any hour, making it one of the more unusual cultural offerings currently on in the Principality.
