Free bus travel returns during Monaco's major sporting events in 2026
Following a successful trial in 2025, Monaco will again offer complimentary public transport during peak event periods to reduce traffic congestion.
The Principality has confirmed that free bus travel will continue throughout 2026 during its most significant sporting events, building on the positive response to this year's pilot programme.
The initiative aims to encourage residents and visitors to choose public transport over private vehicles during periods when Monaco experiences its heaviest traffic volumes and tightest circulation restrictions.
Complimentary bus services will operate during the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters from Monday 6 April to Friday 10 April, the Grand Prix de Monaco Historique from Friday 24 to Sunday 26 April, and the Monaco E-Prix weekend of Saturday 16 to Sunday 17 May.
The measure reflects Monaco's ongoing commitment to sustainable transport solutions whilst maintaining accessibility during the major events that define the Principality's international sporting calendar.
