Franco-Monegasque literary festival returns for second edition

By Zak Jackson, MonacoViews Editorial

The International Franco-Monegasque Literary Festival brought 57 authors and a guest of honour to Monaco's boules club on Saturday 27 June.

The second edition of the Festival Littéraire International Franco-Monégasque took place on Saturday at the Club Bouliste Monégasque, building on the success of last year's inaugural event. Fifty-seven authors gathered for the occasion, alongside a named guest of honour whose presence underlined the growing ambition of this relatively new fixture on the Principality's cultural calendar.

For residents and regular visitors, the boules club near the Condamine has quietly become a venue for events that sit outside Monaco's more formal cultural institutions, and the festival's return to the same address suggests the format has found its footing. A Franco-Monegasque literary event with this scale of author participation is a meaningful addition to a cultural scene more readily associated with music, art and sport.
