The Fort Antoine Festival returns on Tuesday 30 June at 21:30, opening its 2026 season with Dissonances Jeanne d'Arc, an original creation by Compagnie du Dire Dire. The show takes the form of a mock radio debate devoted to the contested figure of Joan of Arc, blending professional actors with genuine subject-matter experts to blur the line between fiction and reality.
The production sits somewhere between political satire and theatrical experiment - comic in tone but designed to unsettle as much as it entertains. Fort Antoine, the open-air amphitheatre carved into the Rock above Port Hercule, provides the setting for what promises to be an unusual opener to the summer programme.
Admission to Fort Antoine Festival performances is free. The season runs through July and August, with the full programme available via the Monaco government cultural calendar.
