Fontvieille Shopping Centre to Get €4.36m Makeover from June

By Michael Moretti, MonacoViews Editorial

The Fontvieille Commercial Centre is set for a large-scale refurbishment designed by architecture firm TAG, with works beginning next month across the entire shopping gallery.

The Fontvieille Commercial Centre is about to look considerably different. The government has committed €4.36 million to a refurbishment of the Centre Commercial de Fontvieille, with works scheduled to begin in June 2026 and covering the full extent of the shopping gallery's common areas.

The project has been designed by Monaco-based architecture agency TAG (The A Group), led by Jérôme Hein. The scope spans all zones within the gallery, with the stated aim of improving the welcome and working environment for both visitors and the businesses operating on site.

The refurbishment is positioned as an interim improvement ahead of a wider structural overhaul of the centre that remains in planning. For the many residents of Fontvieille and neighbouring districts who use the CCF regularly, the upgrade should bring a noticeably improved environment in the near term, without waiting for the longer-term restructuring project to materialise.
