Fire crews called twice to Chanel at One Monte-Carlo

Monaco's fire brigade attended the Chanel boutique at One Monte-Carlo twice in one day after an electrical fault.
Monegasque firefighters were called to the Chanel boutique at One Monte-Carlo twice on Thursday, once in the morning and again after nightfall, prompting brief concern among shoppers and staff in the retail complex opposite the Casino gardens.
After inspecting the premises, crews traced the cause to a fault in an electrical panel rather than any fire risk to the building or neighbouring units. The boutique was able to continue operating once the issue had been checked.
One Monte-Carlo, which opened in 2019 and houses several of Monaco's flagship luxury retailers, has not reported previous incidents of this kind. The repeat call-out on the same day led to a precautionary second inspection by the fire brigade before the all-clear was given.
