FANB wins fourth Munegu Cup at Stade Louis-II

By Laurent Duval, MonacoViews Editorial

More than 420 CE2 pupils from across the Principality took part in AS Monaco's annual youth football competition on the Stade Louis-II pitch.

For the fourth consecutive year, the Munegu Cup brought the Stade Louis-II to life with the sound of primary school football, as every CE2 class in Monaco competed in AS Monaco's flagship schools tournament. This year's winners were FANB, whose victory was celebrated as a collective triumph spanning the full range of age groups involved in the competition.

The event drew all CE2 pupils across the Principality, numbering more than 420 children, making it one of the largest single-year-group gatherings in Monaco's school calendar. Held on the Louis-II pitch itself, the occasion gives young residents a rare chance to play competitive football on the same surface used by the professional club.

The Munegu Cup has grown into a fixture of the Monaco school year, reinforcing AS Monaco's ties with the local community and introducing the next generation of residents to the club's colours well before they reach secondary school.
