Ex-Ukraine prosecutor links Austria threat to Monaco attack

Rouslan Kravtchenko, Ukraine's former prosecutor general now in Austria, says a plot against him mirrors the June assassination attempt on Vadim Ermolaev in Monaco.
Rouslan Kravtchenko, who served as Ukraine's prosecutor general before fleeing to Austria, has made fresh claims linking his own situation to an attack that shook Monaco earlier this year. Speaking from exile, he alleges that the office of Ukraine's president sought to send a group to Austria to carry out acts of violence against him.
Kravtchenko says the method described to him closely resembles the attempted assassination of Vadim Ermolaev in Monaco on 29 June. That attack, which took place within the Principality, drew attention at the time for its apparent targeting of a figure connected to Ukrainian affairs on Monegasque soil.
The claims raise questions that extend beyond Austria's borders, given that the alleged blueprint for violence is said to originate from an incident inside Monaco itself. For residents and property owners in a jurisdiction that prides itself on security and discretion, any suggestion that the Principality has become a venue for international score-settling will be followed closely as the case develops.
