European Sport Charter monitoring delegation visits Monaco Town Hall
APES committee members met with Mayor Georges Marsan and sports officials to review Monaco's compliance with European sporting standards.
Monaco Town Hall welcomed members of APES's steering and advisory committees on Wednesday 18th March for a monitoring visit related to the European Sport Charter.
Mayor Georges Marsan hosted the delegation alongside Jacques Pastor, Fourth Deputy Mayor responsible for Sports Facilities and the Municipal Sports and Associations Service, and Arnaud Giusti, Head of Sports Services.
The visit forms part of ongoing efforts to ensure Monaco maintains its commitments under the European Sport Charter, which establishes fundamental principles for sporting policy across participating nations. The charter emphasises sport as a human right and promotes equal access to sporting activities for all citizens.
These monitoring visits allow European sporting authorities to assess how effectively member territories are implementing the charter's guidelines and supporting their local sporting communities.
