Duplantis eyes world record at Herculis this July

Pole vault world record holder Armand Duplantis will target his own 6.31m mark at the 40th Herculis meeting on 10th July, in a historic first for the Monaco event.
Armand Duplantis, the most decorated athlete in pole vault history, has set his sights on breaking his own world record of 6.31m at the Herculis meeting this summer. The Swedish-American vaulter, who now lives in Monaco, will compete on 10th July at Stade Louis II in what promises to be a landmark edition of the Principality's flagship athletics event.
This year's meeting marks the 40th edition of Herculis, and organisers have chosen the occasion to stage something the event has never seen before: a double pole vault competition, with both men and women competing on the same evening.
